CROWDED CADMANS | VIVID SYDNEY 2022

‘Crowded Cadmans’ was a UNSW Research Project created in collaboration with The Junction Works for VIVID Sydney 2022. As a Research Assistant, I took on many roles and responsibilities for the 3D Animated work, including a 3D Generalist and a Production Assistant.

June Cat

(Concept by Theresa Serevi)

  • Modelled all character assets in Maya and Mudbox

  • Created pinecone body from a MASH network

  • Utilised XGen to create eyelashes

  • Created Blendshapes for facial animation

  • Surfaced in Substance Painter and Adobe Photoshop

Pinky Moon

  • Modelled & sculpted head in Maya & Mudbox

  • Created XGen eyelashes

  • Create a range of facial blend shapes for facial animation

  • Re-topolgised and modelled of legs & heels

  • Surfaced in Substance Painter and Adobe Photoshop.

Chicken of the Forest

  • Created the model's initial pass, including layout of objects

  • Modelled mushroom legs in Maya and Mudbox

  • Modelled hard surface elements including body and arm elements.

Model completed and surfaced by Kevin Garbourg.

Robo-Fly

  • Re-toplogised facial and body model for animation.

  • Re-topologised and modelled wings.

  • Surfaced body and hard surface elements in Substance Painter.

Jessica the Astronaut

  • Re-topoloigsed the face from an FSpy Model in Maya

  • Create multiple Blend Shapes for facial animation

  • Re-topolgised and modelled of legs & heels

  • Adjusted facial textures in Adobe Photoshop

Jupitron

(Concept by Rahul Parmesh)

  • Created the model's first pass, including layout of objects

  • Layout and re-topology of models including spaceship head and pelvis weapon
